The Medal of the Argentine Nation for the Wounded in Combat (Medalla la Nación Argentina al Herido en Combate) is the fourth-highest military decoration in order of importance, established by the Republic of Argentina through Law 22,607, enacted on 15 March 1983. The decoration is awarded to all military personnel, members of the security forces and police forces, and civilians, Argentine or foreign, who are seriously wounded in combat arising from extraordinary events of a wartime nature, as a direct consequence of the risks inherent in it.
