Medal "Za otlichie v voyskakh Ministerstva Transporta"

The Medal “For Distinction in the Troops of the Ministry of Transport” (Медаль «За отличие в войсках Министерства Транспорта») was established on May 28, 1974, under the name “For Distinction in the Railway Troops,” and was renamed on May 8, 1978. Junior officers and long-service sergeants of the transport troops were awarded it for achievements in their service activities and in the training, preparation, and education of personnel.

The medal was struck at the State Mint to a design by R. Peev and D. Belev.
