Kamal Amer

The Sash of the Nile ranks third among the orders, after the Grand Collar of the Nile and the Collar of the Republic, and comes before the Order of the Republic, First Class. It is awarded to those holding the rank of deputy prime minister, or to ministers who have served for a long time and performed distinguished services, and whom it is intended to award with a decoration higher than the Order of the Republic. Its award was provided for by Law No. 528 of 1953, issued on November 5, 1953.
