The Commemorative Medal of the Centenary of the Proclamation of Our Lady of the Pillar as Patroness of the Civil Guard [Medalla Conmemorativa del Centenario de la Proclamación de la Virgen del Pilar como Patrona de la Guardia Civil], commonly called the Medal of the Centenary of Our Lady of the Pillar, is a Spanish decoration designed by heraldic artist Juan Fernández Molina and created by military archbishop Juan del Río Martín on 12 October 2012 to commemorate the centenary of the proclamation of the Virgin Mary, under the title of Our Lady of the Pillar, as patroness of the Civil Guard. As stated in the text of the decree, this proclamation constituted public recognition of the devotion that existed within the Corps, introduced by military chaplain Miguel Moreno Moreno, who introduced this practice at the Young Guards College of Valdemoro.
In February of that year, the Holy See called for a Marian year to celebrate this centenary, a circumstance that led the Military Archdiocese to create this medal as a more lasting sign of this tribute to the Patroness of the Civil Guard.
