The Citation as Distinguished in the General Order [Citación como Distinguido en la Orden General], or simply Citation as Distinguished, is a Spanish military reward awarded to those who, in the course of armed conflicts or military operations in which armed force may be used, carry out actions with valor that are considered effective. The citation as distinguished is awarded when the rewarded actions do not meet the requirements for other distinctions. It is described in Title Five of Royal Decree 1040/2003 of 1 August, approving the General Regulations on Military Rewards, Official State Gazette No. 213/2003 of 5 September.
