The Gold Medal of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands (Medalla de Oro de la Comunidad Autónoma de las Islas Baleares) is the highest award bestowed by the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands in recognition of the merits of individuals and institutions that have distinguished themselves over the course of their personal or professional lives by making a considerable contribution to Balearic society and its interests.
It is awarded annually by the president of the Government of the Balearic Islands at one of the events commemorating the Day of the Balearic Islands, usually at La Lonja in Palma. The Ramon Llull Awards, other highly important awards bestowed by the regional executive, are also presented on the same day.
