Montgrí's Medal

The Montgrí Medal (Medalla del Montgrí) is an award established in 1985 by the Torroella de Montgrí town council, which annually recognizes a maximum of three people, organizations, or companies that have made outstanding contributions to the municipality. The decision to grant this award to people and groups who have stood out in the municipality’s social life fills a gap, since Torroella de Montgrí has no honorary sons or daughters, whether native or adopted.
