The Royal and Military Naval Order of Maria Cristina [Real y Militar Orden Naval de María Cristina], commonly known as the Naval Order of Maria Cristina, was a Spanish military distinction of the Navy, in effect from 1891 to 1931. From that year until the beginning of the Civil War, however, it continued to be used at public events and on pensions, but its holders were required to replace their insignia with new ones in which the monarchical symbols and the colors of the Spanish bicolor flag had been replaced by republican ones.
