The Royal and Military Order of María Cristina, commonly known as the Military Order of María Cristina, was a Spanish military decoration in use between 1890 and 1931, although from that year until the beginning of the Civil War it continued to be used at public events and for pensions, with holders required to replace their insignia with new ones from which the monarchist symbols and the colors of the Spanish bicolor flag had been replaced by republican ones.
