The Departmental and Municipal Medal of Honour was a French civil medal, governed by the decree of 7 June 1945.
Awarded by the Ministry of the Interior, replacing the former Municipal Medal of Honour created in 1921, it was itself replaced by the Regional, Departmental and Municipal Medal of Honour by the decree of 22 July 1987.
