The Medal for Youth and Sports [Medaille voor de Jeugd en de Sport] (French: Médaille de la Jeunesse et des Sports) was a French decoration for sports education and sporting activity. The medal was established on 14 October 1969 as the successor to the Medal of Honor for Youth and Sports [Eremedaille voor de Jeugd en de Sport] and was renamed the Medal for Youth and Associative Life [Medaille voor de Jeugd en het Verenigingswezen] on 18 December 2013.
The decorations awarded by the French state for promoting sporting activity repeatedly changed their names, and also their appearance. The lion's head above the medal and the ribbon remained the same, but the medal itself received a different design.
In 1969, the design from 1929 was reintroduced. The motto PAX ET LABOR once again appeared on the reverse. Whereas since 1956 only silver medals had been awarded, four grades, or “echelons,” were now chosen.
