Correctional Service Medal for Gallantry

The Correctional Service Medal for Gallantry (CSMG) is an Indian military state award established to recognize employees of the prison system (correctional institutions) for gallantry and heroism in the performance of their duties. It is awarded in the name of the President of India on the recommendation of the authorities of the states and union territories. Awards were discontinued on 14 October 2023 following the establishment of a new award.
