The Medal “In Commemoration of the Enthronement of Emperor Shōwa” [昭和大禮(礼)記念章] is a medal of the Empire of Japan, established by Imperial Decree No. 188 of August 1, 1928, to award participants in the coronation, participants in official banquets held on the occasion of the coronation, and those performing state and service duties during the coronation of Emperor Shōwa.
The medal was worn on the left side of the chest, after orders and after the Commemorative Medal for the Enthronement of Emperor Taishō, and before the medals for the Manchurian and China incidents. (Some wear it after those medals.) The master medallist was Shōkichi Hata.
