National Independence Medal

The Kingdom of Cambodia has a large number of orders of chivalry and decorations. One of these is the National Order of Independence [Nationale Orde van Onafhankelijkheid], established on 17 November 1963. After the restoration of the Cambodian monarchy in 1994, the system of orders of chivalry was revised and expanded. The National Order of Independence retained by King Sihanouk has five grades.
