The Order of Civil Merit (Wissam al-Rida or Quissam er-Rida; Ordre de Mérite Civil) was instituted to enable Moroccan citizens to be distinguished for services of all kinds.
The insignia is a round, dark-red enamelled shield bearing the Moroccan coat of arms. A silver or bronze laurel wreath is placed around the shield.
The ribbon is red with two white stripes.
There are three grades: Special Class, 1st Class and 2nd Class.
The 1st and 2nd Classes wear a silver or bronze insignia on a ribbon on the left breast.
