The Air Force Blue Royal Netherlands Air Force Honour Cord [Luchtmachtblauw KLu-erekoord] is a Dutch military commendation insignia.
As in the Netherlands Army, an honour cord is being introduced in the Royal Netherlands Air Force.
Military personnel receive the honour cord when they distinguish themselves through exceptional conduct, extraordinary effort, dedication or meritorious action.
The insignia consists of an air-force-blue cord woven with gold thread (aiguillette) with a gold aiguillette pin bearing a crown, worn on the left shoulder.
The aiguillette may be worn only with the Daily Dress Uniform (DT), Occasion Dress Uniform (GLT), Evening Dress Uniform (AT) and Ceremonial Dress Uniform (CT).
All military officials who have previously received the Royal Netherlands Air Force Medal of Honour are entitled to wear the blue Royal Netherlands Air Force Honour Cord.
The first 15 air force personnel received the new honour cord on 12 November 2012.
The Commander of the Royal Netherlands Air Force is authorised to award the Air Force Blue Royal Netherlands Air Force Honour Cord.
