The War Cross [Krigskorset] is a Norwegian military decoration. It is Norway’s highest-ranking decoration and ranks above all other orders and medals. From 1941 to 1945, the decoration was awarded with and without swords. Since 1945, all awards have been with swords, and the decoration has since also been known as the War Cross with Swords.
