The Civil Defence Medal with Laurel Branch (Sivilforsvarsmedaljen med laurbærgren) is a medal awarded by Civil Defence to people who have distinguished themselves especially in service. The medal was instituted on 6 November 2003 and is administered by Civil Defence. The statutes were last updated on 16 September 2020. It is the second-highest of Civil Defence’s four agency medals, after the Civil Defence Cross of Honour but ahead of the Civil Defence Medal (which is a separate medal). The medal is worn on the Civil Defence uniform and is also approved for wear on Norwegian military uniforms.
