The Grunwald Badge (Odznaka Grunwaldzka) was an honorary badge of the People’s Polish Army.
The badge was established by Order No. 155 of the Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Army dated 22 July 1945. It was awarded to soldiers of the reconstituted Polish Army who had actively fought against the Germans in 1939–1945; soldiers of the Polish Armed Forces upon their return to the country; partisans at home and abroad; Poles who had taken part in the Soviet and Yugoslav partisan movements, as well as the French Resistance; Polish soldiers who had fought in the ranks of allied armies; and all those who, by the date hostilities ended, had contributed to victory through exemplary service in units supporting combat units.
