The Medal “For Service in His Imperial Majesty’s Own Convoy” or “For Service in the Emperor’s Own Convoy” [Медаль «За службу в собственном конвое государя императора»] was a state award of the Russian Empire intended for members of His Imperial Majesty’s Own Convoy.
The medal was established in December 1850 by decree of Nicholas I. The decree establishing the award was communicated to the Minister of the Imperial Court, V. F. Adlerberg, by the Minister of War, D. A. Dolgorukov, on 16 (28) January 1855. The design of the medal featuring a portrait of Nicholas I was approved by Alexander II on 24 February (8 March) 1855. On 25 April (7 May) 1855, a new design of the medal featuring a portrait of Alexander II was approved. Awards of the medal are known to have been made up to the reign of Alexander III, and medals minted under Nicholas II are also known.
