Medal "V pamyat Aboskogo mira"

The Medal “In Commemoration of the Treaty of Åbo” [Медаль «В память Абоского мира»] is a medal minted in commemoration of the Treaty of Åbo in 1743 (according to other sources: “In Commemoration of the Conclusion of Peace with Sweden at Åbo on 7 August 1743”).

The coin was an award ruble. All participants in the Russo-Swedish War of 1741–1743 were awarded the medal. The medal was minted without a loop. Catherine II soldered on a loop so that the medal could be worn around the neck. The medal was worn on the Order of St. Andrew ribbon.
