“For the Battle of Lesnaya” [«За битву при Лесной»] is a medal awarded to participants in the Battle of Lesnaya. The medals were made at the Kadashevsky Mint in Moscow. There were 4,618 silver medals (28 mm in diameter), for distribution to lower-ranking personnel to wear on the Order of St. Andrew ribbon. For officers, six types of gold medals were issued, worth 13, 6, 5, 3, 2, and 1 chervonets, depending on rank and merit (1,140 gold medals in total). In the Preobrazhensky Regiment, 39 non-commissioned officers, 88 sergeants, quartermasters, and corporals were awarded. The original die was made to order by the German medallist F. G. Müller in 1713–1714 (the medals themselves were made in Russia in 1716).
