The Medal “For the Victory at Gangut” [«За победу при Гангуте»] was awarded to participants in the Battle of Gangut.
The medal bore the inscription: “DILIGENCE AND LOYALTY EXCEL IN STRENGTH,” “JULY 27, 1714.” One of the medal’s makers was Solomon Guen. The medal was 41 mm in diameter (for silver medals; gold medals were made in versions corresponding to different nominal values in chervontsy).
