The Medal “For the Victory at Kagul” [«За победу при Кагуле»] was a medal of the Russian Empire, established by the Admiralty Board by decree of Catherine II in 1770. The medal was awarded to the lower ranks of the Russian army under the command of P. A. Rumyantsev, as well as to Cossacks who took part in the Battle of Kagul. The medal for non-commissioned officers differed from that for soldiers. It was circular and made of silver. The medal was worn on the St. Andrew’s ribbon.
