Medal "Za pokhod na Baku"

The Medal “For the Campaign to Baku” [«За поход на Баку»] was awarded to participants in the Persian campaign (1722–1723). The medal was struck in silver and worn on the St. Andrew’s ribbon. It was awarded to Don Cossacks. This was the last medal issued during the lifetime of Peter I. All other Russian medals dedicated to Peter I were struck after his death. The medal was designed by Osip Kalashnikov.
