“For the Battle of Grengam” (За сражение при Гренгаме; in other sources, “Medal for the Capture of Four Swedish Frigates at Grengam”) was a medal awarded to participants in the Battle of Grengam, which took place during the Great Northern War between Sweden and a coalition of northern European states. The medal bore the inscriptions “DILIGENCE AND BRAVERY SURPASS STRENGTH” and “27 JULY 1720.”
Staff officers and chief officers received gold medals. The medal was worn on a narrow blue ribbon. The gold medal came in sizes of 41, 37, and 27 mm. Soldiers received silver medals, which were worn on the St Andrew’s ribbon. The silver medal measured 41 mm.
