Medal "Geroy Truda Rossiyskoy Federatsii"

Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation is the highest degree of distinction for special labour merits to the state and people, and a state award of the Russian Federation. The title is awarded to citizens of the Russian Federation for special labour merits to the state and people associated with achieving outstanding results in state, public, and economic activities aimed at ensuring Russia’s well-being and prosperity.

A Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation is presented with a badge of distinction—the gold medal “Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation”—and a certificate conferring the title of Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation.

The title of Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation is the second-highest title in Russia, after Hero of the Russian Federation. If a person is awarded both the title of Hero of the Russian Federation and the title of Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation, a bronze bust bearing an appropriate inscription is installed in their homeland or place of actual residence to commemorate their achievement. As of September 2026, the people awarded both titles are Lieutenant General I. A. Kirillov and designer Yu. S. Solomonov.
