The Medal for Bravery “Miloš Obilić” (Медаља за храброст „Милош Обилић“) was established on 26 October 2009 by the Law on Decorations of the Republic of Serbia. The medal was initially established under the name Medal for Bravery, and an amendment to the Law on Decorations on 26 May 2010 changed its name to the Medal for Bravery “Miloš Obilić.”
This medal was introduced on the model of the Medal of “Miloš Obilić,” established in 1913 in the Kingdom of Serbia and included among the decorations of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, or the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, in 1918.
