Nagrudnyy znak "Za otlichnuyu sluzhbu v MVD SSSR"

The Breast Badge “For Excellent Service in the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs” (Нагрудный знак «За отличную службу в МВД СССР») was a departmental distinction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR. It was established by Order No. 175 of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs, dated 16 September 1985, “On Improving the Practice of Rewarding Personnel of the Internal Affairs Bodies and Internal Troops.” The award was granted to commanding officers of Soviet internal affairs bodies who had achieved high standards in their service.
