The Medal for Saving the Drowning («Медаль „За спасение утопающих“») is the lowest of the state awards of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. It was established by a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated 16 February 1957. Amendments were made on 1 August 1967 and 18 July 1980; in Transnistria, it was established by the President of the PMR on 15 December 1994.
