The “Iron Cross” (Залізний хрест) distinction is one of the awards from the period of the Ukrainian War of Independence of 1917–1921. At the same time, it is the only combat distinction of the Army of the Ukrainian People’s Republic. Its full name is “Iron Cross for the Winter Campaign and Battles” (Залізний хрест за зимовий похід і бої).
