The Order of Saint John of Lateran (Orden des heiligen Johann von Lateran) was an order in the Papal States, founded by Pope Pius IV in 1560 and awarded until around 1800.
The single-class order was intended as a reward for civic virtues. The admission fee depended on whether, upon admission, one wished to enjoy the financial and protocol privileges of a papal count palatine.
