The Police Medal for Distinguished Service (نوط الشرطة للخدمة الممتازة) is one of the Iraqi medals awarded to officers and members of the Iraqi police and Iraqi army who rendered distinguished services to Iraqi society and the Iraqi state. The medal was instituted in 1953 during the reign of King Faisal II. Its ribbon and the medal itself were changed after the 14 July Revolution of 1958, and changed again after the Ba'ath Party came to power in 1968.
