The Partisan Medal (Медаль Партызана) is a historical military award of the Council of the Belarusian People’s Republic, intended to recognize participants in the Belarusian postwar anti-Soviet movement. It was initially approved on September 1, 1949, by a decree of the Chairman (President) of the Council of the Belarusian People’s Republic, Mikola Abramchyk. The official statute came into force on August 5, 1951. It is currently recognized as part of the general National Awards System of Belarus (of the democratic forces).
