The Medal “80 Years of the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus” is a departmental award of the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
The medal was established by Order No. 88 of the Chairman of the Committee on October 20, 1997, to mark the 80th anniversary of the state security agencies of the USSR (on December 20, 1917, the All-Russian Extraordinary Commission for Combating Counterrevolution and Sabotage was established by a resolution of the Council of People’s Commissars of the RSFSR).
