History

The Parachute Jump Badge of the National People's Army (Fallschirmsprungabzeichen der Nationalen Volksarmee) was a non-state award in the German Democratic Republic (GDR), conferred within the remit of the Ministry of National Defence. It was introduced on 22 December 1966 by Minister of National Defence Heinz Hoffmann under Order No. 82/66.
