The Lenin Recruitment of the FDJ Medal [Medaille Leninaufgebot der FDJ] was a non-state award of the Free German Youth (FDJ) in the German Democratic Republic (GDR), instituted in one class on 14 October 1969 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Lenin’s birth and the 25th anniversary of the liberation from fascism, and awarded in 1970 to FDJ members of the Festival contingent. The Lenin Recruitment itself lasted from October 1969 until the summer of 1970.
