The National Order of the Boé Hills is one of the highest decorations, together with the Amílcar Cabral Medal and the National Order of Merit, Cooperation and Development, awarded by the President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau under Article 68 of the Constitution of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, and is conferred by presidential decree.
In principle, it is awarded in Bissau, the capital of Guinea-Bissau, following a joint deliberation by the Government and the country's Council of Ministers.
