Peacekeeping Service Medal

The Service Badge for Peacekeeping (Békefenntartásért Szolgálati Jel) is a decoration awarded by the Minister of Defence.

A member of the Hungarian Defence Forces is eligible for the Service Badge for Peacekeeping if they have completed peacekeeping service for at least one full rotation period—but for no less than three months. If a member of the personnel is recalled home after completing at least half of the rotation period for service-related reasons or for reasons not attributable to that member, a recommendation may be made for the award of the service badge.

If a person participates in several peacekeeping activities, the Service Badge for Peacekeeping may be awarded repeatedly.
