Sebesülési Emlékérem

The Wound Commemorative Medal (Sebesülési Emlékérem) is an award that may be bestowed by the Minister of Defence; the details of its presentation are governed by Decree 15/2013 (VIII. 22.) of the Ministry of Defence. The Wound Commemorative Medal is awarded in recognition of selfless sacrifice, manifested in an injury requiring medical treatment and sustained through no fault of the recipient as a result of hostile activity, in connection with military service or conduct supporting the activities of the Hungarian Defence Forces.

In its appearance, the medal reflects the symbolic design of the First World War Wounded Medal.
