The Order of Minerva is an academic distinction established by the University of Studies “Gabriele d’Annunzio” in Chieti in 1986. It is an award given to national and international figures who, through their work, have played a fundamental role in the advancement of science, culture and civil society.
The rector of the University of d’Annunzio heads the Order, which is governed by a special council represented by the academic senate.
