The Commemorative Medal for the 25th Wedding Anniversary of Emperor Meiji is a medal of the Empire of Japan, established by Imperial Edict No. 23 of March 6, 1894, on the occasion of the 25th wedding anniversary of Emperor Meiji and Empress Shōken. It was the first Japanese medal to have a women’s version. The gold medal was intended for members of the imperial family and princes, and the silver one for everyone else.
