The Commemorative Medal for the Entry into Force of the Imperial Constitution was a medal of the Empire of Japan, established by Imperial Edict No. 103 of August 3, 1889. It was the first non-military medal of the Empire of Japan. Gold medals were awarded only to princes, and silver medals to all others specified in the edict. The edict prescribed a diameter of 27 mm, but in fact the medal was 30 mm in diameter.
