The Military Border Incident Medal was a medal of Manchukuo, established by Imperial Edict No. 310 of November 5, 1940, to commemorate the battles against Mongolian and Soviet troops at Khalkhin Gol from May to September 1939. It was awarded to participants in the fighting (including medical personnel); rear-service workers; and people whose work was connected with the incident.
Most recipients were Japanese military personnel and Manchukuo rear-service workers.
