The Medal commemorating the founding of a state [大満洲国建国功労章] is a medal of Manchukuo, established by Edict No. 11 of the Supreme Ruler of Manchukuo, dated March 1, 1933, on the first anniversary of Manchukuo’s founding. The medal was intended to be awarded to those who played a part in the founding of Manchukuo. Most recipients were Japanese military personnel who took part in the Manchurian Incident. It is the only medal of Manchukuo from before its proclamation as an empire.
