The Honorary Badge “Meritorious Service to Communications” (Odznaka honorowa „Zasłużony dla Łączności”) is a Polish ministerial decoration established on 4 July 1996 and awarded by the minister responsible for communications as an honorary distinction granted to employees of the communications department of the government administration and to persons serving in organizational units connected with communications, as well as employees and members of other organizational units, professional, trade union and social organizations operating in the field of communications. The badge is single-class and may be awarded only once.
It replaced the “Meritorious Communications Worker” Badge, which existed from 1969 to 1996.
The badge is shaped like an eight-pointed star with a diameter of 25 mm and is made of gold-colored metal. On the obverse, in the center of the star, a circular shield bears the postal symbol—a trumpet against the background of a radio and television mast; around the shield, on a white-enamel border, is the inscription “ZASŁUŻONY DLA ŁĄCZNOŚCI” (“MERITORIOUS SERVICE TO COMMUNICATIONS”).
