The Golden Badge of the Association of Volunteer Fire Brigades of the Republic of Poland (Złoty Znak Związku OSP RP) is awarded by the Presidium of the Main Board of the Association of Volunteer Fire Brigades of the Republic of Poland (ZOSP RP), on its own initiative or on the proposal of the Presidium of the Provincial Board of the ZOSP RP. It was established in 1922 by the Supreme Council of the Main Association of Fire Brigades and taken over in 1933 by the Fire Brigade Association of the Republic of Poland. It was awarded until September 1939 and then reinstated during the People’s Republic of Poland in 1959 as the highest decoration of the ZOSP. Since 1993, it has also been the highest decoration of the ZOSP RP.
The Golden Badge of the ZOSP RP is awarded for long-standing active service in a Volunteer Fire Brigade or in the ZOSP RP. The badge may be awarded to a person or institution that has made a significant contribution to the work of the ZOSP RP, as well as to a Volunteer Fire Brigade with at least 100 years of activity.
The badge has a single class.
