The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising Medal (Medal „Powstanie w Getcie Warszawskim”) is an honorary decoration awarded by the Association of Jewish Veterans and Victims of the Second World War and, since 2022, jointly with the Jewish Historical Institute Association in Poland. It is awarded on the anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising to people who have rendered distinguished service to preserving the memory of the history of Jews during the Second World War and the Holocaust, and to people who have rendered distinguished service to Polish-Jewish dialogue, in particular those involved in commemorating the history and culture of Polish Jews; fighting antisemitism, nationalism, homophobia, or other negative attitudes toward other minorities; informing people of the truth about the persecution and discrimination of Jews during the Holocaust and thereafter; protecting memorial sites; and promoting the culture of Polish Jews.
