The Honorary Badge “For Merit to the Public Finances of the Republic of Poland” (Odznaka honorowa „Za Zasługi dla Finansów Publicznych Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej”) is a Polish departmental civilian decoration in the form of an honorary badge, constituting a prestigious honorary distinction awarded to employees of the office serving the minister responsible for public finances and of organizational units subordinate to or supervised by that minister, as well as to other persons who have contributed to the achievements and development of public finances. It was established by a regulation of 14 October 2003. It is awarded by the aforementioned minister.
The badge is shaped like a circular medal with a diameter of 33 mm, made of bronze-coloured metal. In the upper part of the obverse, a silver eagle appears on a heraldic shield, flanked by the letters RP with a floral ornament. Below is a three-line inscription: “FOR MERIT TO PUBLIC FINANCES,” with an ornament beneath the inscription. On the reverse, between decorative elements, is the inscription “MINISTRY OF FINANCE,” with a space below for the badge’s serial number.
