The “Leading Railway Worker” Badge [Odznaka „Przodujący Kolejarz”] is a Polish civilian ministerial decoration established during the Polish People’s Republic era (on 21 April 1954) and also awarded in the Third Polish Republic. It was conferred as an honorary badge as a distinguished professional award, initially exclusively to railway employees and, later (from 1967), also to employees of other ministries. The badge initially had a single class; from 1969 it had two classes (gold and silver).
